ART COLLECTORS TALK ABOUT THE FIRST PIECE IN THEIR COLLECTION

Last night Brenda and I were reminiscing about great figurative artists we passed on 35 years ago, I lamented in particular that I never got anything by Steve Hanks back then because I was too afraid to show it to her. At the time Hanks was relatively an unknown artist and very affordable. No internet in those days just the back of fancy magazine covers. Sadly he is now deceased and untouchable. Not a single original work is available on the secondary market. I told her she was to “buttoned up” to even look at his work back then.
